The 1080 HD video image quality of the P300 is fairly good for a compact point-and-shoot. Zoom is available during video capture, but the camera will record zooming noises along with handling and stabilization noises and wind noise. Sound is recorded in stereo.
Battery life is rated at 240 shots according to CIPA standards but you can also get get over 250 shots from the 1050mAh 3.7v 3.9Wh battery. In terms of shutter response the focusing speed at both wide angle and telephoto settings are good enough to give perfect pictures. The Nikon Coolpix P300 produces images that have bright saturated colour, and the screen is excellent for viewing photos with bright colours and clear details.
