After which they manufactured denim in Stratford and they earned a good profit. Later in 1939, Morris Cooper split the business into two, on part of it was committed in making workwear while the other manufactured military uniforms. In 1940, Morris Cooper dies and his son Harold Cooper took over the business. Something new about the brand was the re-branding strategy, Harold added a version of his wife’s family name, Leigh which now we call Lee Cooper.
